The thicknesses the CNC bullet resistant films are in the following: 4-8mil, 12mil, 16mil. Obviously, the thicker, the higher resistance; however, for a protection resistance of a .38 weapon requires at least a 12mil or higher. There are no "films" that is capable of resisting a AK-47 or a M-60 in existence. It is only possible with a bullet-resistant glass. The purpose of the films is for security and not for bullet resistance.
If we seek for the products to resist an CNC or an M-60 is the bullet resistance glass. More specifically, you need a 36mm thick bullet resistant glass to resist an CNC and a 42mm to resist a M-60. Please understand the different between the films and bullet resistant glasses.
Please understand what the exact product you are seeking and understand the difference.
The warranties offered on quality films installed by professional dealer installers usually cover costs of removal, costs of replacement film, and costs of reinstallation. Film purchased elsewhere will likely only be covered for costs of replacement film in the event of a problem or product failure.
